Sleep in the Trees - Wildlife Hiking in Dalarna
Wilderness hike with experienced guide Spectacular viewpoints overlooking Dalarna Bonfire night together with other travelers Sleep under the stars in comfortable hammock tents Chance to see wild amimals like Moose and Beaver Day 1 Meet up with your guide the the early afternoon. We begin with an introduction and equipment check and then head off for an adventurous hike into the forest. We walk at a calm and relaxing pace with many rewarding breaks to be able to enjoy the nature and wildlife in the best way. Our skilled guide will show you lots of interesting stuff along the trail. We have a fair chance to see Moose, Beavers and other wild inhabitants of the forest. There are also Bears and Wolves around, but don't worry, they are very shy and we have never had any incidents. If we are lucky we will get a glimpse or see some tracks. As night falls we settle down by a lake and eat our packed evening meal by the camp fire. We share our best stories and enjoy the night away from modern civilisation. We enjoy the crackling fire and the silence of the forest. If we feel like it we might even go for a night walk with headlamps to explore the surroundings and look for nocturnal wildlife. As the night falls we retun to camp and sleep in our hammock tents inside our warm and comfortable sleeping bags. Day 2 Wake up to birds' song and enjoy the fresh air. We drink some coffee together and then pack the camp before we start our walk back. Since this is an off-the-beaten-track experinece we never know which way we will choose.
